Everything about this hotel is amazing. There is nothing the staff won't help with and the hotel is immaculate. The hotel housekeeping ladies are an absolute joy and are such a delight to be greeted by every morning. There is a rooftop lounge that opens up at 3pm until 12am, ¥2500 for nibbles and snacks and all you can drink, with amazing nighttime views of the city. Definitely worth the few times that we went. Breakfast was the highlight for me, I've never eaten so healthy and have now seen on board a few things that I ate whilst there. Pickled ginger, pickled plums and apricots and radishes with my eggs in the morning, washed down by two glasses of detox water. I felt so ready for the day!!! The location is the best, we were right smack in the middle of Akasaka, with so many subway lines to choose from to have amazing adventures and days out. As Akasaka is the historical part of Tokyo, we saw amazing shrines and history for the prefecture. Great places to eat and don't be put off if your Japanese is non existent, there's nothing that Google translate can't fix and find for you. I would recommend Sakura Sachs in Akasaka, great food and amazing service. Get there before 6pm, as it gets busy and reservations take precedence over walk in's. Definitely coming back to Japan, as there is so much to do and many places to stay. Everything was great and I felt so relaxed and looked after.

Room was very clean and comfortable enough. There's space lacking for suitcases to be laid out but it slid comfortably underneath the beds when not needed. Room facilities were great, fresh towels and necessities were restocked/changed when requested. Loved the mist and jet function on the shower head in the bathroom. Never got to experience the baths but would definitely stay again and make more of an effort to experience the baths in the hotel. The terrace roof was really nice, great place to sit and chill with a drink for nice city views. Location was very ideal also, hotel is located on a lively part of Akasaka with many places within walking distance to explore. Great access to train stations too if you're wanting to head in the direction of Shibuya or Asakusa (approx 30-40mins on train).

Very modern and nice inside! Everything was super clean, small room but everything in Tokyo is small so I can’t fault it. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful! The location was amazing! 8-12min train ride to all the other major areas in Tokyo, like Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku etc. 6 min walk to the train station, modern coffee shop directly across the street and lots of lively bars and sushi restaurants on the same road! Check in and check out were super easy, even though we checked in at 10:30pm at night! Reception was always fully staffed (no matter how late at night) and greeted us everytime we came and went from the property. Hotel is located on a busy street with lots going on 24/7, would recommend if you are looking for that sort of holiday. We loved you hotel HILLARYS!!

Staff were absolutely lovely. The room is comfortable and quiet. We were given clean pyjamas each day which was delightful. The onsen is really the best part of this hotel - coming back to wash and soak in the onsen from bed really did help with the jetlag and the sore legs/feet from walking 30,000 steps per day. The location was great. It's on a side street with plenty of nearby restaurants, cafés, Family Mart. Found a perfect coffee spot 'Chumon-Baisen Mametora Akasaka' - roasted beans onsite. Highly recommend 'Ittenbari Ramen' too for dinner. Its situated in a perfect spot between Shibuya/Shinjuku and Ginza so really easy to get to places by train.

We loved how close to everything Hotel HILLARYS was. Lots of yummy food places along the street and a 7eleven close by. The Hie shrine is also very close and a beautiful shrine to visit. Staff were always super helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. Storage was minimal but ok to store your bags under the desk and a few hangers behind the door on the wall. Bathroom is small but we were ok with that, very normal in Tokyo, the shower pressure was amazing!! Big bonus was the beautiful coffee shop ‘Streamer’ across the street that we ended up going to nearly every day for a week. 2 very happy Australian travellers !!
